is there a way to configure filemaker so that when you switch to a different layout that's much smaller than the previous layout, the window itself shrinks to fit the new layout better?

In version 7, you can use the Adjust Window [Resize to Fit] script step.

I'd recommend keeping your user interface layouts all the same size, to help maintain a consistent look and feel throughout the solution. The Adjust Window[] is still useful when going from print preview back to the UI, though.

do i have to attach the script step to all the buttons or is there a way to write the script so that any time the layout changes size, the window will change accordingly?
