portals and record skipping

Featured Replies

i think this goes here...it involves portals..

if i have records with info similar to the following:

apple; red

apple; green

apple; yellow

when i setup a portal in another layout it comes in how i want:

apple (title of portal)

red

green

yellow

the portal set up isn't really the problem but it the fact that that portal shows up on 3 records shown identically...i hope that makes sense

This question sounds familiar, are you Double Posting?

What question?

no....do you mean posting in two different forums?

i did that once a long time ago because i posted something in the wrong forum and then i poseted it in the right one..but that was weeks ago....

but i haven't posted a question about this ever

ok, I just thought the example look really familiar to me. Sorry.

It sounds like the Relationship needs to be a field with word Apple on both sides.

don't worry about it

the problem isn't getting the portal itself to display...

but it displays over ever "apple" record

if i have:

record 1: apple; red

record 2: apple; green

record 3: apple; yellow

the portal titled "apple" displays:

red

green

yellow

on record 1 2 and 3 how can i make it so they (users) don't have to navigate through 3 records of the same portal (the portal is the only thing on the layout really)
