How do i add days to a date field

Hi,

I have a hiredate textbox but i would like to add 35 days to the hiredate into textbox RevewTxt

Hi Maria,

Hire Date is text? Why? You will be needing to perform many calculations on that hire date (as you're already noticing). How is the text date listed? We will need to know this to turn it back into a date to use FM's date calculation engine. :smirk:

Uh, your Subject says it's a date field!? If so, ReviewTxt would be calculation: hiredate + 35

But you need to clarify what you have! ReviewTxt HIGHLY suggests text. There is a big difference in our answers, depending upon the field TYPES. Please clarify. Neither of these fields should be field type of text because FM uses dates as numbers to figure this kind of stuff.
