eliminate prompt for username for runtime users

Featured Replies

I produced a database (read only) with guest access. However when distributed and installed on the end users screen it asks for their username...this is not needed (it shows in kiosk mode).

Is there a way to eliminate this prompt for a username?

Under file options activate (click the box for)Log in Using option and set it to the guest account or whatever account you want to open the solution. That should translate thru in when binding the runtime.

I, too, have a solution that I'm having the Username dialog come up - every time. Each file is set to auto-login under an account with no password. The solution works fine regardless of the username entered. Thoughts?

I have had this happen to me before. If I open the runtime solution and enter a username, it does not ask me again, therefore I always open them before I distribute or package them and have had no problems.
