I have a grouped report in my database, and I also have a few fields with sliding and part-shrinking enabled in the body. How come I cannot use sliding to remove excess space in the header? The field inside the header shrinks fine; it's even set to "Also reduce the size of the enclosing part". But despite this setting, the header remains the same.

Does sliding only apply to the body? To non-header parts? From what I've read here, sliding tends to act a bit strange in Filemaker. Many first recommend trying to recreate the report from scratch (no copy-and-paste); even after trying that, I do not see a difference.

Headers and Footers do not slide, only Body and sub-summary parts do.

Ah, well... that's a shame. I'll just have to figure out some other alternative. Thanks for the response.
