NEWHERE
I am creating accts and privileges. The available menu commands can only be set down to minimum. is there any way it can be set to no access at all? I really don't want certain users or for that matter all users to have any access to ALL menus. Thanks. Jean
stanley
Jean: You may want to consider Kiosk Mode (available via FileMaker Developer 7 or FileMaker Advanced 8) in which, for designated users, FileMaker locks out the entire OS while it's running. Have a look at the FMD7 or FMA8 documentation to see how it works. -Stanley
SteveB
Rather than use kiosk which is somewhat of a pain to deal with, FM8 Advanced has the ability to let the developer create his own menus. There is also Dacons Menu Contorl and Secure Menu from New Millenium. Either of these will make the application look more like a standard app, which a kiosk won't.
