Web publish doesn't load page properly

Featured Replies

I'm currently trying to show a client how to use Filemaker Pro 7 databases remotely. I've set it up on my pc, created a new database with a few entries in it and published it to the web and it all works fine as it should.

On my clients pc however, after publishing to the web, we tried accessing the webpage from a remote computer. It came up with the first screen that lets you select the database/file you want to view so we clicked it.

Then the page starts to load and eventually shows us, well, nothing. It has the left and righthand frames and some graphics, but nothing we can make out. No text, no symbols, nothing.

His host has a slow internet connection (almost dial-up speeds) so would that be affecting it maybe?

Any ideas guys? Is this the right place to ask this question?

IWP/CWP? Browser used? IWP is supported only by certain browsers (check FM tech specs).

Dialup speed is for sure too slow for web-hosting.

I'm afraid I'm way too new at this to know what IWP/CWP means.

We were using Internet Explorer at first, then I tried Firefox, because I knew it was working on my system.

He's not really at dialup speeds, but may as well be. He can't get broadband, so he's on ISDN, which only hits a maximum of 128kbs downloading, still unsure how fast he can upload.

IWP = Instant Web Publishing

CWP = Custom Web Publishing
