October 3, 200520 yr I would like to know if ther is a faster way to get to the last field in a TO. I am setting up relationship with fields that fall at the bottom of the list. Scrolling down thru 500+ field names is a killer! Sorting by name, creation order, etc. doesn't change the location by much. The little up/down arrows move very slowly. Anyone come up with a faster way to get there?
October 3, 200520 yr Select the first field in the list and then start typing the name of the field that you want. This is probably best done if the field names are in alphabetical order but it seems to work OK even if they are not.
October 3, 200520 yr Author I don't think that works when setting up relationships. Once you click anywhere in the TO box it highlights the whole box. I am in the Define Database > Relationships tab.
October 3, 200520 yr I am using the icon second from the left at the bottom of the relationships tab which enables you to set up relationships by choosing TOs and then fields. Unless the behaviour has changed between 7 and 8 you can do what I suggested in that dialog. Although drag and drop is good for small tables, as you say, it is not good for tables with lots of fields and this alternative is, I believe, better.
October 3, 200520 yr You are 2 for 2 today! I sat here wondering what that meant! and then googled it - we Brits are in the dark ages with regard to baseball, or at least this one is. Thanks.
