Window close disable

According to new millenium menu magoc page you can disable the close widget button?

How can you do this in v8? Or do you have to do it using scripts?

Any one know of this???

Neither Secure Menu with Menu Magic, nor Dacons Menu Control runs in version 8, altho both developers are working on upgrades. If you're talking about FM's built in Menu Control features, I don't believe there is a way to accomplish what you're after without a plugin or other software like WinBatch or AutoIt.

I have not been able to find away to disable the close application widget, but I did find a way to disable the close window widgets. One of the Commands is Close. This Close command is the one used in FileMaker's standard File menu. Any changes you make to it's use using Custom Menus also effects the Close window widget. If you use the Close command in a custom menu, you can tell it to run a script. If that script does not have a Close Window step, the window will not close.
