October 24, 200520 yr Is there any interest out there to watch and be able to ask questions as we demonstrate creating and building a plugin from within visual studio? We will also demonstrate some techniques such as calling the windows API etc. Please email us at [email protected] thank you Joseph Mele www.fmplugin.net www.youseful.com
October 25, 200520 yr This would using C++ right? What I'd really be interested in, is if someone wrote wrappers so I could write plugins in C#... But in general: sure I'd watch.
October 30, 200520 yr Author Hi No for the first class it will be C and the old format, Since it has the ability to be used in many FileMaker Versions. It would be remiss not to start on that. As for the C# It can be done. In fact there is a technique that C++.NET uses to allow functions to be callable from non-managed code. It has been shown it works in C#. I just will not open that can of worms before or during the first class. I am posting the complete announcement. Edited October 30, 200520 yr by Guest

November 3, 200520 yr Author OK now since we have been released from certain contractual obligations. We will be focusing on the MAC. so please stay tuned!
November 8, 200520 yr Author Wim Decorte Here is the info about exporting functions from C# that I said could be done. http://blogs.slcdug.org/jmele/archive/2005/04/18/1541.aspx So now you can have c# DLLs that are readable by native code. The .NET framework must be installed.
