Newbies AndyBannister Posted October 28, 2005 Newbies Posted October 28, 2005 A new problem has just arisen with Filemaker 8; everytime I load the program, it defaults to page size A3 landscape. I duly go to file -> page setup and reconfigure A4 portrait only to have FileMaker forget this next time I open the database. Every other program on my machine is printing fine, so FileMaker can't be picking this up from global printer settings. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Andy Bannister
BeckhamTX Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 I am having a similar problem, but a little different. The papser size is selected as letter, but when you go into layout mode, the page margins are at some larger size (something like 18 x 11.) So when you print, the printer is wanting a different size paper than what we are trying to print on, eventhough it is set to letter size...
mr_vodka Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 How are you printing? Are you manually printing or are you printing via a script?
mcyrulik Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 (edited) I have the same issue, but only on PC's scripting a print. I am trying to print on 4x6 labels, but my page size keeps coming up "User Defined" in the print setup script step. If i go into the script and change it to the appropriate size, click OK, and then try to specify print options again in that same script step, they revert back to user defined. If i go though the same setup manually, it will print just fine. Edited December 9, 2005 by Guest
