I'm working in an application that is build in filemaker6.

My idea is to add a button to open up a network folder where some pdfs are stored, is it possible with Filemaker?

use the script function:

Open URL

then specify your path to the PDF folder, for example,

Open URL [C:Documents and SettingsPDF FolderDesktopPDF files]

I want to do the same thing but during data entry I want the user to be able to select the path. Is this possible? Is there a way to let the user select the path he wants to save into the record?

YOu might want to look into Troi File Plugin. With the plugin, you can have the user select a directory path and save the path to a field.

That's a nice plugin but it's $69. I guess I'll let the users copy and paste the path themselves.
