Page Size Problems

Featured Replies

I am creating a report using FMP 8 Advanced. I originally set up the report to print on 11 x 17 paper because of the amount of data in the report. We have since narrowed down the amount of data and I should be able to print on 8-1/2 x 11. I have gone back to the Printer Setup and chosen Letter, Portrait for my paper size and have even chosen a different printer to print to. But the report keeps show the page size for 11 x 17. I have made sure that nothing is printing off of the right side of the page but the length of the page is too long and I am missing data in my report. I don't know if this matters but I am using sliding in this report.

I'm extremely frustrated. Any help would be appreciated!!

I know these may sound obvious, but it always helps to double check.

If you have a script that its printing from, make sure that the print setup and print steps are both right. Print Properties.

Also are you changing the print setup when in the layout that will print? You need to change it when in that layout.

I hadn't gotten to the point of scipting yet. But I did just dig a little deeper and found that a setting had been changed in the Printer Properties. It was set to 11 x 17 there. I changed it back to 8-1/2 x 11 and all is well!

Thanks for your suggestions!

I think this is a sign that it's time for a break!!
