Contact Log

Help!! I need to create a contact log. For each contact. But I don't want the other contacts with that same table to see it. How do I do that!!!

Just a bit of advice, slow down and ask the question in a more specific way. If you do not know how to ask then at least attach a copy of your file and somebody will usually be glad to help.

I'm sorry. I need to create a log to track when a record was last contacted, who made the contact, the date the contact was made, and how the contact was made. I know I can create a portal. But, I am creating this portal after I have created the records already. I'm having problems doing that task. Thanks!

Okay,

I'll see if I can help. Your question is posed in a way that I must assume you are very new to relational databases or at least FM in particular.

First, do you understand the concept of a relational database with multiple related tables? Do you know what makes a relationship? I need some sense of your experience and ability to possibly offer help.

1) Do you have two tables or one?

2) What is the primary information in each table?

3) Do you have primary and foreign key fields to set up the relationship?
