My calculated field does not auto repaint

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a field value that is calculated.

When in a list layout I click a button that changes a parameter used in the calculation of of this field's value, but the field does not show the new value until I scroll down the list to hide it and scroll back to show it.

I've tried window refresh and relookup field contents but neither causes the field to repaint its new value.

Hard to say without seeing the calculation and the script.

Try making Refresh Window [Flush cached join results] the last step of your script. Also make sure you do a Commit Records[] after changing the input value.

I do have refresh window as the last command, and I also have a commit after I make the change.

Presumably it is supposed to repaint automatically?

Calculations relying on cascading relationships often do not refresh too well.

See more in this thread and the other threads mentioned there.

Does your Refresh Window step have the 'Flush cached join results' option checked?
