November 29, 200520 yr Every time I try to print a layout in FM8 that has 20 or 30 records in it I get an out of memory error and filemaker won't print the file. I'm using FMS on a PC and printing from a shop full of macs to a HP 4000 laser printer. THIS ONE BUG IS RUINING ALL OF THE WORK THAT I'V DONE WITH FM. MY WHOLE SHOP IS PISSED AND I CAN'T FIX IT. I know I can have them print to a PDF and then print that, but what a pain in the A**. Has anyone been able to fix this? Thanks for any response. I'm totally frustrated FMPretender
November 30, 200520 yr The usual cause of running out of memory is a script calling itself. If you're printing from a script, check for this. Steve
November 30, 200520 yr Not sure if this is related, but there are reports of printing problems due to PDF / Font rendering issues. Try changing the entire layout to a different font for testing?
December 20, 200520 yr What kind of horsepower does the box that is running FMS have? Memory? Processor Speed? Just wondering if you have the minimum system requirements?
December 21, 200520 yr Run the just released FileMaker Pro 8.0v2 updater to see if that helps any. Also, what font are you using? Steven
