Wade Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Every time I try to print a layout in FM8 that has 20 or 30 records in it I get an out of memory error and filemaker won't print the file. I'm using FMS on a PC and printing from a shop full of macs to a HP 4000 laser printer. THIS ONE BUG IS RUINING ALL OF THE WORK THAT I'V DONE WITH FM. MY WHOLE SHOP IS PISSED AND I CAN'T FIX IT. I know I can have them print to a PDF and then print that, but what a pain in the A**. Has anyone been able to fix this? Thanks for any response. I'm totally frustrated FMPretender
SteveB Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 The usual cause of running out of memory is a script calling itself. If you're printing from a script, check for this. Steve
xochi Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Not sure if this is related, but there are reports of printing problems due to PDF / Font rendering issues. Try changing the entire layout to a different font for testing?
Sergeant Ron Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 What kind of horsepower does the box that is running FMS have? Memory? Processor Speed? Just wondering if you have the minimum system requirements?
Steven H. Blackwell Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Run the just released FileMaker Pro 8.0v2 updater to see if that helps any. Also, what font are you using? Steven
