At work, we have FM Pro 7 running on Windows XP. I bought a copy online to use at home on my macmini running Tiger.

Can I take the .fp7 file from work to home, work on it, and then bring it back to work the next day without issues? Are there any "gotchas" to look out for?

FileMaker is cross platform. So, you can do what you are asking.

You might see some difference in how the fonts display, but I have not had a problem using Verdana.

Further to Lee's comments, just use the fonts which are there both on Mac and Windows !!
