I have Server 7 on a dedicated Imac G5.

Will Server 7 drive Filemaker 8 and allow me to make use of tabbed layouts?

My two client stations are: Mac G4 & Imac G5.

Yes you can use tabs with the FM8 client and FM7 server. And you only have to ask once :

I initally couldn't see my post, so I thought it didn't take.

I'm glad to hear that I can host FM8 on Server 7.

If this is the case, why would I choose to upgrade to Server 8?

Functions that evaluate on the server (new calculation functions) and certain new types of queries (the new date search patterns) won't work without server 8.

Also, if you're doing IWP with FMSA like me, you can't use any new v8 IWP features until FMSA v8 comes out.

And server 8 fixes a lot of stability and performance issues that exist with server 7 ...
