hi everyone

I'm new to this FileMaker caper [ms access background] and am having trouble getting my head round a few things...

I've got a table that stores information about surgical operations [type of procedure, surgeon]

I'm wanting to generate a table of summarised data - see below

procedure X______4________2________12____

procedure Y______12_______3________6_____

procedure Z______5________2________9_____

any ideas?

By subsummary part in the layout you can get your wish such:

Surgeon1

__ProcedureX_____4

__Procedurey_____12

__ProcedureZ_____5

Surgeon2

__ProcedureX_____2

__ProcedureY_____3

__ProcedureZ_____2

Surgeon3

__ProcedureX_____12

__ProcedureY_____6

__ProcedureZ_____9

But if your surgeons count not change you can do your wish by calculating.
