hi

im not sure which forum is the best to post this question,so here goes.

given that its possible to create a table and store records in it without ever having a layout displaying the records, is it possible to view a table without creating a layout?

[for example you can do this in ms access]

cheers

Hi hairy,

"... create a table and store records in it without ever having a layout displaying the records"

How would you propose getting the records into the table without a layout to either enter the data or provide the source table in which to import?

"...is it possible to view a table without creating a layout?"

Layouts ARE views. You can create a table layout, which is generic and plain. But you need a layout to see table data. And you need an occurrence of said table within your graph or you can't create a layout.

Can you explain why you are asking these questions? What are you trying to accomplish?
