Newbies hairy1 Posted December 20, 2005 Newbies Posted December 20, 2005 hi im not sure which forum is the best to post this question,so here goes. given that its possible to create a table and store records in it without ever having a layout displaying the records, is it possible to view a table without creating a layout? [for example you can do this in ms access] cheers hairy
LaRetta Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Hi hairy, "... create a table and store records in it without ever having a layout displaying the records" How would you propose getting the records into the table without a layout to either enter the data or provide the source table in which to import? "...is it possible to view a table without creating a layout?" Layouts ARE views. You can create a table layout, which is generic and plain. But you need a layout to see table data. And you need an occurrence of said table within your graph or you can't create a layout. Can you explain why you are asking these questions? What are you trying to accomplish? LaRetta
