New to FM. I am sorry to impose, could you help me with something? I have a field in a layout that i want to sum over all records and get the result in a field on another layout. I tried the sum func. but it didn't work? Please help.

Hi, tunin. Use summary fields for sum.

First, you're not imposing - this is what the forum is for (I think).

But you need to be much more specific in order to get efficient help:

"All records" - do you mean all records in the table, or all records in the found set?

"Another layout" - do you mean a layout belonging to a different table? If so, does "all records" perhaps mean "all related records"?

"Didn't work" is also not a good description of a problem.
