Hello,

How do you get Filemaker 8 pro to give you a diolog box that would say something like 'Are you sure you want to delete this record' when a user clicks delete?

This is for a database thats hosted using IWP?

The custom dialog boxes don't work via IWP, so what you're best off doing is to create a new layout (you can totally fake the dialog box with creative artwork) which will behave like a dialog box. When a user clicks delete in your current layout, you'd acually be sending them to that new layout. In the new layout, if they click "okay", you'd run a script that would:

1. Delete the Record.

2. Return them to whatever layout is appropriate.

If they click "cancel", just send them back to the original layout.
