Ben Ball Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Is it at all possible to request a password to allow a script to continue. i.e. I am in layout 1 and press a button that will send me to layout 2. I must be authorised to do this and not just relying on the Get(accountname) calculation. As it is not always guaranteed that the person who logs on is the person who is using the PC at the time.... Is it possible to pull up a list of users available then select the user and then the correct password? I am trying to avoid having to log off and on to enable the correct account name to be used during scripts. Can anyone see what I am trying to do?
Wim Decorte Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 FM 7/8 has a re-login script step for this, it allows you to change the user without closing the files. Showing a list of users is not possible natively. It's also an obvious security risk, right. If you want good security, don't go compromising it by showing a list of users.
Ben Ball Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 Thats great, thankyou for pointing it out. Much appreciated.
