Display selected portal records

Featured Replies

Hello to All,

I'm working on a file for my Wife's Osteopathic Practice. It is intentionally very simple and i am trying to contain it to as few layouts as is possible to make it as easy as possible to use.

I have the following tables, patient, bookings, invoice and product. In the patient window i have a portal to bookings and in the invoice table i have a portal also to bookings but with different fields showing.

In the patient layout "bookings" portal i have an (invoice) yes/no field which i would like to effect which records appear in the invoice layout "bookings" portal. The yes/no field is defaulted to no. The idea is that in order to produce an invoice, you simply pick which bookings you are invoicing for then hit the create receipt button and those booking records with the "yes" appear in the invoice "bookings" portal.

I have attached the file with a couple of records so you can see how it works at the moment. I've now realised that of course when you change which bookings are to be invoiced it effects on any previous invoices. I am trying despeately to avoid having to manually attach each booking to an invoice and thought this might be the simplest way, but sadly not.

I guess i need to do it with lookups rather than the portal but is this possible to produce multiple results from a lookup?

Currently i am unsure how to do this so any help you can give would be very much appreciated.

Thanx,

Mark B
