bdonelson
I am attempting to use the lookup function but following part does not seem to work properly. I always get the "NA" response. Lookup (Table1::ID;"NA") It seems like an easy enough function to use. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Baylah
First thing to make sure is that the tables are related. A look up won't work unless there is a relationship. I have never done it quite the way you are, but you are right in that it is a very simple thing to do; once you understand the relationships. What exactly is it you are trying to do? If you post a copy of your DB I would be happy to take a look at it. Finally, something I think I can help someone else with...as opposed to my always needing the help. bdonelson
Thanks for the help, I think I am still looking at database design from a MS Access viewpoint. I just downloaded "White Paper for FMP Novices", and I am starting to see things from a Filemaker perspective. After I've read through this, and I still have questions. I post again. Thanks Again,
Baylah
Access Sucks. Especially for beginners. Steve
