I have a litle database about cars. Each car as a color. What I want to have is a portal that list how mush cars I have for each color. Is there a way to do that without scripts ?

Create a layout with a subsummary based on color. Place the Color field in the summary, and car name, model, year, VIN, etc. in the body.

Alright but what if I want it in browse mode, not preview mode ... :

Have you figured this out yet? If not, you will want to create a calculation field based on a self-relationship on cars.

Through the self-relationship, you can use the Count function to do what you want.
