UPS Worldship and FM6

Featured Replies

Hello

I'm trying to connect FM6 with UPS Worldship.

I created system DNS with Filemaker Pro driver in ODBC control panel.

I launch FM and open the file.

I launch WorldShip. It recognize my database, and my table with the fields.

I assign the fields from the table with the fields internals of Worldship. And Ok.

But when i search for anything in worldship, it can't find any matches...

Somebody can help me?

Thanks!!!

If you create a DNS with the FM Pro driver it means you want to import FM data into Worldship (FMP is the data source). If you want to import data into FM you have to create a DNS to the WorldShip data source with whatever ODBC driver is provided with WorldShip (WorldShip is the data source).

Yes, that's the idea.

I want to import the data of FM to WorldShip.

Does Worldship have an import function that allows access to an ODBC source?

yes, they call it "Keyed Import" and you can find it on the "UPS OnLine Connect" menu.

You need to set the "Primary Key" in Worldship. It is part of your import map.

I must say, there is VERY LITTLE info on getting FMP to work with Worldship. It took me a while to get it all figured out and working..
