I've been using SendMail by Digital Fusion in FMP7 to send email messages in the background, triggered by user actions in IWP, such as pressing a button "Send." However, I am planning t upgrade to FMP8 the the pluggin no longer works, even the version request simply returns "?." The vendor says it's a Filemaker problem. I trialed versions of several other plugins, including SMTPit Pro, email.it, PriorityMail, and NONE OF THEM WORK IN IWP using FMP8. Is this an FMP8 bug or is there something else I need to do to get mail plugins to work in FMP8?

same dilemma. Look in the xml and php forums for ways to send email from IWP using openurl script step and xml or php. I was also given a suggestion for FM Butler AutoSender.
