Hi!! I am trying to import a contact list from excel into FMP, v. 7 - After I import it, any zip code that starts with a 0 (zero) does not disply the 0. Also, I cannot inport the dashes it seems, but that is a minor thing. The main thing is the zero.

i.e. imported 04875-1566

displays 48751566

Is there any way of doing an exact import to import exactly what is in the excel file?

make sure that your zip code is of type text and not number.

I have tried that already - It doesn't work - Any other ideas?

The field MUST be text result, by chance are the 0s missing before you import? Is the Field a Number in Excel? You might try changing it to Text and see what happens.

Actually I just figured it out.

The field was a text field with a formula in excel.

What I did to make it work was save the entire excel file as a .csv first - Then it imported very easily.

I appreciate all of your help though!!
