smilemaker Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 I have a 6 file Filemaker solution that I would like use on the web. I expect a lot of web users....perhaps in the thousands (Thinking Big....lol). What can be done to expand Filemakers capacity. Can Filemaker 8 Server Advanced handle this? Should I rewrite the solution in another database? Thanks for any comments. I expect that this would primarily be a web application.
Reed Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 The 100-user limit is only for concurrent sessions, so if you do custom web publishing, you're not limited to that. If you read the web publishing documentation that comes with server advanced, they talk about multiple machine setups for splitting the db server, wpe, and web server onto individual machines to increase capacity.
Martin Brändle Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Shouldn't be a problem for FMSA. Our server handles about 60K CWP requests per week, besides the about 300K standard web requests.
