Backup to Novell from Mac

We run a G5 as our server. Would like to schedule backups to the Novell server. Is this possible/recommended? If yes what is the best method? Than you

Certainly not recommended unless you do it as a 2-stage process:

- have FMS backup to the local hard disk

- use shell scripts/applescripts to zip the backup and move it to a mounted volume.

2 reasons it's not recommended:

- it takes longer

- if the mounted volume is not available then no backup happens (and that can bite you in the behind really badly)
