I was thinking of using Python for archiving backups and update routines with FMServer8. Has anyone had any experiences using the two together?

It will be on OSX, but I would like it to be Windows friendly as well.

Haven't used Python at all, but as long as it can use command line commands it should work. FMS has a rich set of shell commands.

Thanks for the input. Yes, I was thinking of having it operate on a archive scheduled by FMServer.
