Refreshing Sorts on All Client stations at once

Featured Replies

I am running FM8 on one client station and FM 8 Developer on another. I have FM Server 7 on a dedicated Imac G5.

This system is running a task management application for communicating between my office and my cabinet shop. The default screen people see us a columnar type layout.

Records are color coded depending on current status. If the task is "In Process" the color code is yellow. If there is some urgency to the task the font color changes to red.

The problem I am having is updating the screens.

When a status has been changed on one station it does not necessarily upgrade on the other station, without someone hitting a sort button on the other station.

I would like to be able to have the screens on both stations (If they are on the same layout) update at the same time without additional intervention.

Can anybody suggest a way to make this happen?

Thanks,

Jarvis

Check out the Troi Activator plugin. It allows you to run scripts on remote machines.
