March 25, 200619 yr I need to use a value list in a portal, displaying the contact name, to enter the contact ID to establish a relationship between two tables. This VL might grow eventually to a fairly large number of records to be easily managed on a VL. What is the recommended procedure for this situation.

March 26, 200619 yr With vs. 8, you can also specify drop-down list and Auto-Complete. My Users adore this new feature and it has allowed me to uncomplicate my structure in several places. UPDATE: If the number of selections grows past a hundred, I still filter as Kent suggests AND provide Auto-Complete on the filtered VLs. For instance, our Contacts are at 85,000. No way I would wait for FM to provide THAT drop-down without filtering... Edited March 26, 200619 yr by Guest Added Update
