Newbies lornegolden Posted March 31, 2006 Newbies Posted March 31, 2006 I have a few filemaker databases which I developed webpages to acces them using filemaker unlimited 5.5 and claris homepage if anyone remembers that and more recently updated in dreamweaver. My problem is that from certain locations people can't access any links on the page to the database. This occurs mainly in work environments where there is tighter security. I am wondering if there is any solution to this to allow access to the webpages from anywhere? Thanks Lorne
Newbies quinode Posted April 12, 2006 Newbies Posted April 12, 2006 In Filemaker Application's Preferences, under the plug-ins Tab, on which TCP/IP port did you set up the Web Companion ? If it's another port than 80, it's possible that people behind tight secured firewall won't acces to the pages served. You might try 8080 or 8888 as these are common alternatives to http usual port 80.
