Slobey Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 Can anyone shed some light on the difference in performance between a summary field and a sum calc field? The databases I generally work with do not have that many records and I have not seen a great performance difference. Will either work faster or slower when the record number increases? Any input will be appreciated, Thanks Mike
Ender Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 It's not really a question of performance. They each have different uses. When working with found sets, summary fields are usually used. When working with relationships, aggregate calcs are used.
