April 25, 200619 yr Hello I have a mac. I am asking if the runtime for my windows people can be made on my mac? thanks Dave Edited April 25, 200619 yr by Guest
April 25, 200619 yr Basically, you create a windows runtime on a PC and a mac runtime on a mac. The workaround is to use Virtual PC on a mac to create the PC runtime. HTH, Mike
May 4, 200619 yr Or you can use a free alternative to VPC called "Q" http://www.kberg.ch/q/ Good luck.
May 4, 200619 yr Or you can use a free alternative to VPC called "Q" Actually, I think they call this Shareware. But if You like our effort with Q, and You want to contribute something to the future of Q, feel free to make a little donation to our project: Thanks for the link. Lee
May 6, 200619 yr Q is a nice little application. Perhaps open-source is the more correct term, but freeware fits. Open source software and shareware are similar in that they can be obtained and used without monetary cost. Usually shareware differs from open source software in that requests of voluntary "shareware fees" are made, often within the program itself, and in that source code for shareware programs is generally not available in a form that would allow others to extend the program. Notwithstanding that tradition, some freeware authors ask for voluntary "donations," although there is no requirement to do so. Wikipedia
June 3, 200619 yr Please explain your comment about needing a PC to create a PC runtime. I have created several on my MAC with Dev 5 and they run well.
June 10, 200619 yr Please ignore my last posting !! I was just reminded (gently) that three years ago when I bound some solutions for PCs I did it on a PC of all things. I hope I'm talking only to myself and that no one has seen these postings !! In other words "never mind"
