Appearance of drop down menu in Windows

In one of my FP5 databases a field with a drop-down menu appears perfectly (single-column list) on all the iMacs here in the office but on the PC the menu pops up as a multi-column list and fills the whole screen. It doesn't allow me to scroll down or across, so I can't get at all the list values or the "Other..." choice. Sorry if my terminology is a bit dodgy sometimes, I work with the Spanish version so don't know exactly what everything is called in English.

I believe that is how it is done on the Windows platform. In general Filemaker tends to comply with the interface conventions of the given platform, so Mac interface elements will look a bit different than the same Windows interface element. However it should look perfectly normal to a user of the platform.

You can type the first letter(s) of the value you wish to use; that will get you close to the actual value ('cause value lists are shown alphabetically).

Also, type a "z" to get to the end of the list -- the "Other" choice should be there. You can use the arrow keys to maneuver.

HTH,

Dan
