Newbies OD Gary H Posted May 10, 2006 Newbies Posted May 10, 2006 Ok here's the deal. I need to be able to hit the key and it creates a new record. I have done it before but been away from FM for a while. Can anyone assist really quickly? The screen. I will be inputting number, enter, number, enter, number with no set limit on the number of numbers. Then there will be a few other navigational buttons that have to be functional. email directly if you can after you post. [email protected]
comment Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 You need to be in a looping script in order for this to happen (or use a plugin).
Newbies OD Gary H Posted May 10, 2006 Author Newbies Posted May 10, 2006 any help on the script? It's the text enter key. if you create a new database with 1 table. adn you type abc and then hit I need it to create a new record. but if you hit stop after then it deletes the blank record and exits it all.
LaRetta Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Just to clarify - Windows Users call [Return] the [Enter]. You need to use the [Enter] on the num pad for this. Very nice.
Newbies OD Gary H Posted May 10, 2006 Author Newbies Posted May 10, 2006 I will look at the file. I can't use enter because the barcode scanner I am using automatically uses the key here.
Newbies OD Gary H Posted May 10, 2006 Author Newbies Posted May 10, 2006 File didn't work. I need a way to trap for that. Or a way to automatically parse out that field that it will enter like SKU SKU SKU SKU This should show up as individual records in an order entry table.
comment Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Sheesh, why not say it's a barcode scanner in the first place? How about this way? RapidEntry2.fp7.zip
Newbies OD Gary H Posted May 10, 2006 Author Newbies Posted May 10, 2006 That will work. Doesn't simulate exactly what I want but I can make it work. :
