agtjazz Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 I followed the article on Filemaker Advisor to make fields for each tab and then you can script Go To navigation. I made the fields tiny and untoggled "allow editing in both Find and Browse mode". On the main menu, a button goes to the Data Entry layout and tab 1. When that button is pushed… the cursor is blinking and if I don’t tab out, I can type in the field. What did I miss? I would like to prevent this field from being populated by mistake. Your advice is very appreciated.
SteveB Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 The next script step needs to be GoToField() with no field specified. Steve
John Mark Osborne Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Using the Go to Field script step with no field specified is an old FileMaker Pro 2 trick that should be avoided. While it still exits all fields on the layout, it may not work the same in future FileMaker revisions. Instead, use the Commit Record/Request script step to exit all fields.
agtjazz Posted May 31, 2006 Author Posted May 31, 2006 I did the Commit Record step--- and it works... Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
