Restricting Access is blocking fields - FMPro 5

Featured Replies

I have two passwords set up for my database. One allows full access. The other one I want to user to only view/edit records.

The problem that I am encountering is when I set this password, there are several fields that are grayed out when the file is open. Some fields are formatted as pull down menus (value lists are from a different file). Other fields are "normal" text fields that should allow data entry.

Any ideas?

Make sure you have not setup a "Group" for this limited password with less than full access to fields. -bd

Thanks. I inherited this db from someone else, and didn't think to check there.

Thanks again for your help.
