gaby78 Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 My Balance fields (calc fields in a related table) are not being updated after data entry. I tried commit record and refresh window scripts after entering data to get these fields to show the right balances but it didn't work. I have to close the file and reopen it to see the correct amounts. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks in advance.
John Mark Osborne Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 It all depends on how you implemented your calculations. There might be a better way to do it if you describe your scenario better including the actual formulas, tables and relationships. If you have an example file, that's even better.
gaby78 Posted June 9, 2006 Author Posted June 9, 2006 Hi John: Here is the file. Click on Deposit/Payment Tab, this takes you to a deposit layout. Click on Vendors button -> opens a new window. The user picks an invoice in the bottom window and enters its row nbr with amount to pay in the top window. The bottom window should update automatically based on what was entered in the top window. But it does not. I have to close and reopen the file to see the new balances. Thanks MTH.ZIP

I got your file but there is no data in it for me to work with and it's not clear how to enter it properly. Please send me an example with at least a few records in it. Thanks.
