Hi all

Is there a way of scripting the "insert of PDF files" into a container file.

When I chose "insert object" from the script menu, I have to choose an object to insert. If I leave the option blank,I get an message for FM that states that it cannot continue. But if I choose a PDF file to insert then that is the only file that is inserted and then i have to go into the script and change the to insert object to another PDF file.

Is there a way for FM to just open the Folder where the PDF files are stored and let the operator chose the one that he/she wants? I am linking to the PDF file and inserting only an icon into a container field.

The script step that you want is "insert file." You can store a reference, if checked, or have the entire PDF stored in the container field (but they're huge).

If you don't specify which file that you want to insert, you will get a dialog when the script runs.
