What does this mean?

I placed a field in a related tables layout and this is what shows?

It means the field you referenced in your value list is not indexable. Is it a calculation? If so, enter the field definition and make sure it isn't set to be UNSTORED. If it refererences global fields or a field from another table, it can't be indexed.
