Its Just Me Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 Hi, I am fairly new to FM8A. I wanted to know if it is possible to have a button which will open a new window and display the photo stored in a container. I want the user to be able to look at the photo on a larger scale. Thanks, Jim
Lee Smith Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 Hi Jim, welcome to the Forum. I'm not sure that I'm understanding you completely, but have you checked out the New Window Script Step Online Help [color:blue]Contents > Script steps reference (alphabetical list) > Windows script steps > New Window script step HTH Lee
Its Just Me Posted June 25, 2006 Author Posted June 25, 2006 Lee, Sorry that I did not go into more detail...here is what I am attempting... I currently have a form which a photo can be imported into a field with the add photo script. Of course the photo is only about 2x3 on the form, so what I want the user to be able to do is click a button, lets say a "View Larger Image" button and when it is pressed a small window will pop up showing a larger view of the photo inside the field. Thanks, Jim
Genx Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 You would have to construct a seperate layout, then as Lee suggests open a new window on this layout with this image and navigate to the appropriate record. ... But i don't suggest doing this on xp, it restores the windows if they are maximized and makes them go out of whack. ~Genx
Lee Smith Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 (edited) Hi Jim, Also check out the Sample Files that came with your FileMaker Application called Photo Catalog.fp7 Macintosh HD >> Applications >> FileMaker Pro 8 Advanced >> English Extras >> Templates >> Home - Collections >> Photo Catalog.fp7 It shows how to do this.
