Quick add portal record with a button

Some of my portals defualt to having an extra line to add a new record, while others do not have the extra line for quick, new records. How does one turn this extra line on and off?

This is a setting called "allow creation of records in this table when bla bla".. I forget the exact wording, but the setting lies in define database, in the relationship between your two table occurances, you must enable on the CHILD side (the Table Occurance that your portal is looking into).

The relationship definition controls this.

When defining a defining a relationships you can allow (or deny) record creation (see the check boxes). When creation is allowed you get the blank line at the bottom of the portal, otherwise not.
