hartmut Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Hello I have a file that has addresses in it like the one below Glenwood Cemetery Address: Glenwood Ave, Oneida, NY 13421 Phone: (315) 363-1420 I would like to automate putting the first line into a field called business I would like to break up the second line to the fields "address" and " city" and "state" and "zip" fields accordingly and I would like to remove the word phone and put the third line into the field ' phone" Thanks very much for your help The word address, is always there as well Thanks
LaRetta Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 You might try this (see attached). Import into the textField and then the auto-enter calcs will split it into those fields. Once imported, the data will remain set. You can then modify the new fields if need be. The textField should be left as an audit trail of your import. Addresses.zip
