Limiting the number of records in a table?

Is it possible to limit the number of new records that can be created in a table?

Script record creation - remove the option from menu via privilege set. Very basic New Record script:

If [ Get ( TotalRecordCount ) :great: blaBla ) ]

Show Message [ "No more records" ]

Halt Script

Else

New Record Request

End If
