Run script based on field value

I need to be able to perferm an action based on the value that is enterd into a field. I'm designing a telesales application for use in our company and need to be able to update a record if a field = answerphone. In Access I had events like 'after update' etc.

Any ideas?

FileMaker does not directly support events, but you can do it with a plugin such as:

Troi Activator

Waves in motion Events

EventScript

or if you dig around on the developer disc you'll find the FMExample plugin. All of these support script triggers when you exit a field.
