Nemo Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 We were using 7 developer and upgraded to 8 when it came out, up until now however we never needed to be on the same database since upgrading. Now however we're getting a toomany liscensed user error, with 7 we were able to have up to 3 developers on a file at a time, did they change this in 8? Am i going to have to buy another developer licencse?
stanley Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Gearless: You should have needed 3 licenses for 3 users to access the system simultaneously in FMD7, and the same holds true for FMA 8. -Stanley
Steven H. Blackwell Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Yes this is a little peculiar. A license key conflict error should have been generated when more than one instance of a Finished Good Unit install is launched. Steven
Nemo Posted July 26, 2006 Author Posted July 26, 2006 That is odd, i was under the impression it was good up to 3 places (since we were able to have 3 developer machines connected to our server when we had seven.) But no worries we have ten liscences for 8.5 pro Ill just install one of those on the other machine. Is it possible to do an install of pro and pro advanced? or will advanced overwrite pro?
Steven H. Blackwell Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Two separate applications. Both may ot run at once however. Steven
